Joao came into yoga initially as a way of balancing a busy banking career in London city but soon realised there was more to yoga than stretching his tight hamstrings.
He trained to become a teacher under the triyoga teacher training program.
With a focus on body alignment, his classes combine a more dynamic form of Hatha Yoga with restorative moments, where the breath is always the starting point either with traditional prāṇāyāma or more experiential breathing techniques. He welcomes students of all levels to the practice, from beginners to more experienced practitioners, always giving options so everyone can take part.
